They say that no man is an island, and no other place can signify that phrase than the workplace. A company can't be run by one person alone. There are hundreds, if not, thousands of employees who need to coordinate well on a daily basis; otherwise, the work process may just end up getting chaotic.
That being said, good communication is the key to having a great process that is a deterrent against misunderstandings and confusion. The thing is, it also brings other benefits in the office that other people may not even realise.

If you get your employees to talk to each other at all levels, then you eliminate the need for office rumours. Understandably, employees will have time to talk about anything and everything after a long workday. When there are real problems that need to be resolved, or even small issues that need to be discussed, employees can take part and lend their ideas in. They can also provide you with useful feedback and suggestions.
5. It Keeps Employees Informed
If you want to build a culture and a work environment where people feel comfortable and understood, you need to give them a chance to bond. An open communication process can provide the right environment where you can convey your concerns, ideas and plans to your employees and also get their input in the creative process.
Employees will not feel alienated, and they'll feel like they're part of something.
6. It Can Bring Happiness, Contentment and Incentives
The good news is you can use open communication to connect with your employees and ask them what they need to be happy, contented and productive. In open communication, you can also let them know that you're paying attention and that you are willing to give them what they ask for.
It's easy to think that open communication is only for the company's sake, but the truth is, it also works well for the employees. It keeps them happy, it keeps them in the loop, and it makes them feel like they're a part of something much bigger. All the managers need to do is make themselves available for their employees and then let them speak their minds.
The whole idea of open office communication is to improve the work environment. There are a lot of ways to do this – you can even have small discussions and have employees give you their input.
